Some reminder to share with you. Be careful when pumping petrol. Always hold on to the nozzle during filling.
PETROL SPLASHED ON EYES MAY CAUSE BURN & BLINDNESS
Reminder - to hold the petrol pump nozzle at all times; don't be lazy...!!!
Always hold the pump nozzle when you are filling your vehicle petrol tank.
A recent incident of a guy who was badly injured in his eyes when it was splashed with petrol. He was filling petrol into his vehicle at a petrol station. As usual, he set the pump nozzle and put it into his vehicle petrol tank and stood by the vehicle. Suddenly, the pump nozzle flew out of the vehicle petrol tank and spewed petrol at high speed onto the guy.
The petrol got into his eyes and he felt the pain and not able to see. His companion quickly brought him to the toilet to wash his eyes. After that the guy was sent to the hospital.
According to the petrol station staff it was not the first time that the pump nozzle came off the vehicle petrol tank when it was left alone during the filling of petrol. But this was the worst incident. The top layer of the guy’s right eye was damaged and the area around his eye was burnt. His eyes had to be bandaged for 10 days. And later he became blind.
Apparently this pump nozzle was lighter than the normal one and the speed of the petrol created a backward thrust that pushed the pump nozzle out of the vehicle petrol tank when it was left alone.
Careful ya friends..Enjoy your day..
It is advisable to hold the pump nozzle when you are filling your vehicle petrol tank. Share this information with your friends, family & relatives ......
